As well the Luftwaffe FlaK troops the 3.7cm FlaK43 anti-aircraft gun also found its way in the hands of Waffen-SS.
They keep the ‘Jabo’ fighter-bombers away from their high-value assets like the artillery and heavy anti-tank weapons. The 3.7cm FlaK43 guns are a must have for any Waffen-SS force and are excellent defence against Allied Typhoons and P-47 fighter-bombers. In a pinch these anti-aircraft guns can be used to break up infantry assaults. The Waffen-SS had no qualms about turning their weapons on to ground targets.
This pack contains three 3.7cm FlaK43 guns, twelve crew, three command team miniatures, three medium and one small base, ready for ground mounting.
In Flames Of War
The 3.7cm FlaK43 gun can be fielded in the SS-Anti-aircraft Gun Platoon supporting any Waffen-SS company from Earth & Steel. Like the 2cm FlaK38 gun they are also ideal multi-role weapons filling the light anti-tank and anti-infantry requirements as well as their normal anti-aircraft role.
However, it excels at anti-aircraft fire combining a high rate of fire with excellent firepower. The net result is that very few attacking aircraft make through the fire to strike their targets.
The 3.7cm FlaK43 gun is Immobile and has Range 24”/60cm, ROF 4, AT 6, FP 4+, is Anti-aircraft, has a Gun shield and a Turntable.
