Etched Shield: Three English Lions
(ESEN)
Edward I King of England: This knight is from the last age of warrior kings; when a countrys fortune depended, more on it's king's strength and skill in battle than on the skill of his statemen. To tell who was in all the arm a knight would have his coat-of-arms painted onto his shield and surcoat. This is the coat-of-arms of Edward I. In battle he dressed like all the other wealthy knights.
