The future of the Fyreslayer lodges needs to be secure, and the Auric Runesons are there to make sure of that. Each is a splendid warrior in his own right, eager to prove his worth to the lodge - they may one day become the successor to the Runefather, leading the lodge in glorious battle. Wielding devastating ancestral weapons, they hunt out and destroy the most powerful foes to slay in the name of Grimnir; the Magmadroths they ride certainly aid in this task, with their lethal, whipping tails and super-heated breath. Fyreslayer vaults heave with the trophies collected by Auric Runesons, and their thirst for ur-gold is prodigious.
This multi-part plastic kit contains all the components you need in order to assemble an Auric Runeson on Magmadroth. Armed with either an ancestral waraxe or a clutch of wyrmslayer javelins, he also carries fyresteel throwing axes. His skin is adorned with ur-gold runes hammered into his skin, and his helm and beard are mighty indeed! The Magmadroth features flame-shaped scales, three crest options, a huge flaming chimney on the saddle and a huge array of additional components - pipes, bundles of axes, a drinking horn and bundles of ancestral jewelry. You can also assemble an Auric Runefather and Auric Runesmiter to accompany the Runeson on foot!
War priests of unrivalled power and renown amongst the Fyreslayers, Auric Runesmiters are the messenger of their god, channeling the power of Grimnir through runes of ur-gold. As they move along the lines of Fyreslayer warriors booming their stentorian chants and incantations they are met with great cheers - their oaths to Grimnir quickly fill the air, and Grimnir’s strength stirs within the battle-lines. Auric Runesmiters display an affinity with ur-gold surpassing that of their kin - they can discern a single piece within an entire chest of ordinary gold. The greatest of these warriors ride fearsome Magmadroths; tearing their way into the heart of battle upon these huge, molten-skinned beasts, an Auric Runesmiter may earn the respect needed to ascend to the status of Runemaster - though most are content to remain in the thick of the action.
Able to silence the racing heart of the foe into icy coldness and terror with naught but his steely glare, the Auric Runefather is the lord of the Fyreslayer lodge, a war leader with unrivalled experience and stern, stoic patriarch. Leading from the front, they cut down swathes of enemies with their latchkey grandaxe - more than a mere long-hafted weapon, this serves as the master key to his lodge's temple vaults, and the stores of precious ur-gold within. Of course, a Fyreslayer of such legendary prowess deserves a steed to match - the Auric Runefather rides a powerful Magmadroth, an enormous fire-lizard creature who can spit forth searing blasts and whose blood scorches the foe foolish enough to puncture its skin.
Ninety-five components, one Citadel 120mmx92mm Oval base and two Citadel 32mm Round bases are included. This kit can optionally be used to assemble the Auric Runefather on Magmadroth, or the Auric Runesmiter on Magmadroth.
