Also called the Contra-Retiarus (counter-retiarus), or nicknamed - Clutter, Reaver or Redner, the Scissor was the traditional opponent of the Retiarus and his equipment was designed for this task. He was heavily preotected with a breastplate, a helmet and greaves. He was armed with a dagger and a specialist weapon that consisted of a stell tube encasing the gladiator's hand and forearm, with the end capped off and a blade attached. This was ideal to cut the Retiarus's net.
