M4A1 Sherman 76mm Late Production

1,000 M4 Shermans were made per month in 1942 through the effort of eleven different manufacturers. The first production model was designated the M4A1. Its hull was made from the largest armor castings available. Production ended for the M4A1 in 1944 after 6,281 were made. Thousands of these were rebuilt with improvements before D-Day.
