Polish Army wz.29 Armoured Car
(KHWW2005)
Period: Early War
This set contains one resin and metal vehicle - wz. 29 Armored Car armed with Puteaux SA 18 gun and two wz. 25 Hotchkiss HMGs.
The vehicle was designed in 1929 and based on the chassis of the Ursus A 2-ton truck. Commonly known as Ursus, this armored car had an additional driver seat located in the back of the vehicle. Such solution allowed the crew to escape enemy fire without turning whole car around. Armed with French-made Puteaux 37mm gun and two HMGs, wz. 29 had respectable firepower, especially during the early stages of the war. One of the machine guns was also designed in such way that it could be redeployed and used as anti-aircraft weapon.
Ursus was produced for only two years and most probably only 10 vehicles were completed. All took part in the fightings during the September 1939 – 8 of them formed a squadron in 11th Armed Division of Mazovian Cavalry Brigade. Right from the 1st of September this formation defended Mazovia against overwhelming German forces for over a week.
All our miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Paints and glue not included.
