The SOMUA MCG5 half-track was France’s standard heavy artillery tractor in 1940. Baustab Becker converted a number of these into pioneer half-tracks for 220. Panzerpionierabteilung. Like the Sd Kfz 251/7 half-tracks of other Panzer divisions, these are equipped with light assault bridges strapped to the sides.
