Two Resin Models
Hansa-Lloyd and Goliath started development in 1934 on a half-tracked vehicle with a 3-ton towing capacity. The final development of the production vehicle was completed by Hanomag of Hanover as the HL kl 6. It was also produced by Adler, Auto-Union and Skoda from 1938 to 1944.
It official designation became le Zgkw 3t SdKfz 11, and a total of 25,000 chassis were produced with 16,000 being used as the basis for the Sd Kfz 251 mittlere Schützenpanzerwagen (medium armoured personal carrier).
It was primarily used as an artillery tractor towing any of the following:
• 10.5cm leFH 18 field howitzer
• 7.5cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun
• 3.7cm FlaK 36 and 37 anti-aircraft guns
• NW41 Nebelwerfer rocket launcher
Towards end of war they ended up towing heavier guns than it was initially intended for such as the 8.8cm PaK 43 and PaK 43/41 anti-tank guns.
By 1944 only the le.Zgkw. 3t mit Holzpritsche (light tractor 3-ton with wood plank bed) model was being produced.
