These four (with differing doors and damageable sidings) make ideal small terrain pieces, blocking line of sight and adding ‘heaps’ of character to your gaming table. Earth Closets like these would have been found in all rural locations from the mid C18th to the mid C20th, perfect for Europe, North America, Australia, South Africa and just about everywhere else where people need to go!
The Earth Closet, vital addition to any home (or rather outside the home). Unlike the W.C. (Water Closet) the Earth Closet used no water, it did not flush, once used a handful of earth was sprinkled over your efforts but often it was just left as it fell. Known by many names, Priv, Dunny, Gongbox, Thunderbox, s**tter; once filled it had to be emptied and if that was your job you would be called a ‘Night Earth porter’ ‘Closet Man’ or possibly a ‘Gong Farmer’, or S**t Shoveller!
