Michael Wittmann joined the SS in 1937. His first command was in an Sd Kfz 222 armoured car in Poland. He soon came to command a StuG III A after the campaign in France and went into action with the rest of the battery in Greece.
Wittmann’s assault gun, and those of the rest of the battery, supported Kurt Meyer’s attack at Lake Kastoria, helping to secure victory and the surrender of thousands of Greek troops.
The 7.5cm StuK37 gun are Hull mounted on the StuG A or B. The field of fire for these weapons include everything in the front of a line across the front of the vehicle's hull.
The StuG A or B has Protected ammo; this means crews are more willing to remount a Bailed Out vehicle.
Tanks with protected ammo re-rolls all failed motivation tests to remount Bailed Out vehicles in the Starting Step.

Michael Wittmann in Burning Empires
Michael Wittmann replaces one of the StuG A or B Assault guns in the Assault Gun Platoon in an SS company. He is not a Warrior team, however, his platoon may use the Ambush! special rule.
Ambush!
Michael Wittmann was a man on the go, always manoeuvring to a position of advantage before striking the enemy. His favourite tactic was to strike from the flanks, where the enemy least expected.
Wittmann and his Assault Gun Platoon may be deployed using the Ambush special rule (found in the Flames Of War rulebook) in addition to any other platoons that would normally be deployed in Ambush. Wittmann’s platoon may
deploy in Ambush even in missions that do not normally use the Ambush special rule.
